Study Grants are available from The Handweavers' Guild of Connecticut for study in weaving related fiber arts. To qualify for a study grant, one must have a desire to learn and a willingness to share this knowledge with the Guild. No special expertise in weaving is needed. Any person who has been a Guild member for at least one year may request an application. Applications are judged and study grants are granted by a committee of three Guild members as organized by the Study Grant Chair. Awards are granted throughout the year, with a deadline of May 15 for summer events such as NEWS and Convergence. Members may apply for study grants every two years.
For more information, contact the Study Grant Chairperson. To apply for a study grant, one must complete the fillable Application Form available here and then forward it via email or mail (USPS) it to the Study Grant Chairperson.
