Equipment Rentals
The primary purpose of the Guild equipment rentals program is educational - helping guild members to further their weaving knowledge and skills. Equipment is rented on a first come, first served basis. Many people find renting looms for a Guild maxi workshop or a class at NEWS to be beneficial. Members should check the Knot, the Guild website, and the NEWS website for scheduling and reserve a loom in a timely manner. Guild members may also make use of the rentals programs to further their own weaving projects and programs.
Typically, the rental period is two months. If the equipment is not in demand, the renter can choose to re-rent and pay the monthly fee for the additional rental period. Deposit checks will be held by the Guild treasurer for the entire rental period. If there are no major repairs to be made on the loom, the check will be shredded when the loom is returned.
